Self confidence is defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as: ‘A feeling of trust in one’s abilities, qualities, and judgment’
Having trust in your own abilities, your qualities and your accurate judgement can mean the difference between feeling totally unstoppable or feeling totally petrified.
Your perception of who you are has a real impact on how others perceive you too. But your perception is your reality and the more confidence you have, the more likely you’ll succeed.
Many of the factors which affect self confidence are outside your control. Family, life events, cultural conditioning and personal circumstances, for instance, provide the pieces of the jigsaw we use to construct our persona.
However, there are a number of things you can consciously do to build self confidence. frequent use of positive motivational quotes can give you the mental edge you need to reach your true potential and challenge self limiting beliefs.
